At Hostellerie Le Baou, it’s instant charm. And you can expect the same instant pleasure at the restaurant aptly-named "La Terrasse", where the panorama is the first of many things to savour.
The program of Chef Daniel Speller (also officiating at La Bellecôte in Courchevel) includes vivacious Mediterranean cuisine that cares more for pure traditions, for recipes lost and rediscovered, than for trendy dazzle. The repertoire of delights might include scampi with fennel, sea perch and shellfish marinière, rack of lamb with tapenade crust and a few wines from the Gulf that pay homage to the fare. Lighter lunches in the poolside grill setting don’t mean any less flavour or fewer Provencal accents in perfect tune with the song of cicadas.
